Stop Viewing and Start Making

If you’re a creator.

A maker of things ( words, pictures, videos, whatever ).

I’ll give you the best reason to cut back on social media.

Not because it’s a distraction.

We all need that sometimes.

And not because it’s intellectually inferior.

Get off your high horse people.

You need to limit watching what other people create.

Because it’s robbing you of the single most important, valuable and special thing you have.

You.

The more you consume.
The more you’ll move to the middle.
The more you’ll emulate others.
The more you’ll look and sound like everyone else.

After awhile, it’s not learning, it’s homogenizing.

So scroll TikTok.
inject YouTube right into your veins.
Read a million threads.

I can’t stop you.

But the more time you spent making things.

And not just consuming what other people have to say.

The faster you’ll find your voice.

And your audience.

And your path.

People want to hear what you have to say.

I promise you this.
