The 5-Second Rule for Marketing Copy

We've all heard of the 5-second rule for dropped food.

Did you know there's a 5-second rule for marketing copy, too?

(Spoiler: It's less about floor germs and more about grabbing attention.)

Here's how to make your copy stick in 5 seconds or less:

  1. Hook 'em fast: Start strong. A question, a joke, or a shocking statistic - make it pop ( and make it what your audience cares about ).
  2. Keep it snappy: Short sentences are your friend. Like this one.
  3. Visual appeal matters: Use bullet points, bold text, or emojis. 👀
  4. Speak their language: Jargon is the vegetables of copy. Nobody really wants it.

Remember, you're not writing War and Peace.

You're writing "War! What is it good for?"

Get in, make an impact, get out.
